Spreading the load across all of them makes for a very relaxed system that never falls over even with the biggest of sessions. I have got 4 computers in my studio actually all connected to each other and it is super powerful. I don't have the dual boot system installed on one machine either e.g. The only DAW that lets you record, compose, produce, mix, master, and perform and in a single integrated and intuitive application.

I have heard trying to use 32 bit plugs under a bridge on a 64 bit system can cause problems for you. Also check too because many 32 bit plugs have been released as 64 bit versions by now. In reality I have found I don't use it much as pretty well everything is covered now in the 64 bit world. Sending audio to and back is a breeze and works perfectly.

My 32 bit machine has also got a UAD card installed too. WIN 10 Intel Core i7-10700K CPU 3.80GHz, 64 GB RAM, SSD 970 EVO Plus 2TB, USB C 3.2 - Studio One 5 Motif XF, Roli Seaboard Rise, QuNexus, MASCHINE JAM, Presonus ATOM, Wavestate, Presonus Faderport 8 uvm.

So if I really need any of the 32 bit stuff I can boot it up, send audio or midi over to it and that way I have got full use of all my 32 bit stuff. The libraries bundled with Studio One 3 Professional just keep going: 14 GB of instruments, 40.

Most serious users are going to go with the Pro version, as thats where the real value lies. I have the two computers networked and connected via audio (analog and digital) and midi as well. Studio One 3 is available in three version: a freebie to get your feet wet, an Artist version with most features, and a Pro version with all the goodies. I left them all on my Win XP 32 bit machine and I use Studio One Ver 2.65 on that. Like you though I have a ton of 32 bit plugins and virtual instruments. As a result I am experiencing blissful behaviour. Students build Snowball Siege, Star Runner, and other intermediate-level games using concepts such as layering, Actor visibility, motion, line drawing, math art, and sprite collisions. My main machine is Win 7 64 bit machine and I have Studio One 3.5 64 bit installed on it. The way I do it (and I realise not all can do this) is to use two computers. I've heard/read good things about jbridge, seems like a possibility - does it do as advertised? Glanced over info on it - do I just point it at the existing master folder (creating a new destination folder), or do I have to go thru sub-folder by sub-folder, or (god forbid) plug-by=plug? In my case I fell in love with Studio One 3 圆4 after many years of being a Cubase user. dll's and, where required, their own folders for inits and such. jBridge is an application designed for bridging VST plug-ins. Inside the fx folder it's further broken down into category folders containing the. Then - as noted I've got a ton of 32bit plugs, all centralized in one folder for fx, and one for vsti. Sound correct? No impact whatsoever on the existing install?

First, it's my understanding that both versions - 32 and 64 - can coexist, just install the new version in it's own folder. Thing is I have a ton of (very well organized) 32bit plugs, both fx and vsti. This one should work a bit better with Windows 8. But I'm thinking of loading 3.5 in 64bit just to try. A new beta version of jBridge (1.6) is available here. Standalone hosts such as Xlutop Chainer or Plogue Bidule which are also VST plugins can be bridged and then used to host any and all non-bridged 32-bit plugins in a 64-bit host.I'm still on 3.3.x at 32bit - get great work done as such, and don't work with large sample libraries so access to the larger memory isn't an issue. I only had to bridge ONE to use them all. That being said, it is absolutely NOT necessary to bridge ALL of one's 32-bit plugins. Granted, from here forward, all developers should create 64-bit versions. Many of my hardware instruments are decades old. Just because something is older doesn't mean it needs to be tossed in rubbish bin. Sorry, but some of us not only want to use them but also rely on some of the 32-bit plugins we've purchased over the years. It has made for a much more stable experience since day one.įor the OP - if you insist on using some 32bit oldtimers in your workflow - you will need to install the 32bit version of S1 along side the 64 bit version and then take that combo to wherever it makes sense to you. I for one - am very grateful that Presonus did not get caught up in the whole "bridge" concept. I would never consider giving any cash to a vendor that refuses to offer a 64 bit version of any reasonable active plugin. If anyone insists on actually using a 32bit VSTi in 2016 - it's time to approach that vendor and ask them to join this century. Vocalpoint wrote dr4kan wroteWith so many 64 bit alternatives to every possible plugin why to bother with 32-64 bridges?
